Position Summary:
The Packaging & Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the packaging and warehouse operations at Stowe Cider, as well as active participation in the day-to-day responsibilities of the team.
Responsibilities:
Supervise packaging employees
Oversee organization of the warehouse floor
Oversee packaging workflow and daily schedule
Oversee packaging and warehouse material inventory and complete monthly inventory counts
Facilitate taproom cider transfers
Create and approve efficiencies within the packaging department
Facilitate all outbound shipments and ensure that all shipments are prepared and shipped correctly
Oversee all inbound shipments and ensure that they are properly received, logged, and stored
Record keeping and tracking
Train new packaging employees
Update and create SOPs
Setup, operate, and clean packaging equipment
Prep for and package finished cider into kegs, bottles and cans
Operate keg washer and filler
Operate Cask ACSX2
Packaging equipment maintenance and repair
Maintain clean, orderly, and safe warehouse
Occasional building & grounds maintenance
Cross-training on various production roles and supporting the business as needed
Qualifications:
Ability to problem solve
Attention to detail and complete follow through
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining composure
Ability to work independently as well as a team member
Technical Skills:
Manufacturing experience - craft beverage manufacturing experience a plus
Experience with department supervision or management
Experience operating packaging equipment
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate with others in person and via email
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday

Packaging Duties:
Set up, operate, and clean packaging equipment
Prepare for packaging runs: fold boxes, clean kegs, organize packaging materials
Package finished cider into kegs and cans and palletize product
Operate keg washer and filler
Receiving inventory items and perform necessary department inventory tasks
Occasional building and grounds maintenance
Cross-training on various production support roles as needed
Desired Qualifications and Abilities:
Attention to detail
Able to lift 55 lbs
Able to endure standing for prolonged periods of time and repetitive motion
Ability to problem solve
Organized and task-oriented
Safely handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety protocol
21 years of age with a valid license
Packaging experience a plus
Basic mechanical skills a plus
Forklift experience a plus
Pay & Benefits:
$16/hour starting wage with the opportunity for a raise to $17/hour after a satisfactory probationary period

About this Position
We are seeking an experienced prep cook to join our team and help prepare meals according to our standard recipes. In this position, your goal will be to prepare high-quality meals that meet the chef’s specifications.
You will set up the prep station, stock inventory, and maintain sanitation standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately, you will contribute to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth.
Responsibilities:
Set up and sanitize workstations.
Follow prep lists created by chefs.
Prepare menu items according to specified recipes and company standards
Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation compliance requirements by properly handling food and ensuring proper storage.
Notify Head Chef in advance of likely shortages/losses
Use food preparation tools following manufacturer's instructions
Maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitized workstation and kitchen.
Constantly use safe and hygienic food-handling practices
Return dirty food preparation utensils to the appropriate areas
Assist with all duties as assigned by the Head Chef
Clean and sanitize cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
Perform inventory checks and complete food storage logs when requested
Prepare food in a fast paced environment
Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge and experience with various cooking methods, procedures, and food handling - one to two years of experience preferred
ServSafe or equivalent
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Committed to quality food service
Efficient and productive
Able to lift up to 40 pounds
Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
Nights, weekends, and holidays required
Ability/Skill to fill in as a Line cook or dishwasher is a plus
